本研究では、20世紀アメリカにおいて成立した4カ所の教職大学院に焦点を当てて、それらの間でのネットワーク形成および教師教育カリキュラムの研究に関する実態解明に取り組んできた。その遂行のためには、未整理の状態にある(1)各教職大学院に関する資料、(2)教職大学院間の共同研究に関す一次資料を、現地アメリカ（イリノイ州、マサチューセッツ州、ニューヨーク州）において調査・収集する必要があった。そこで本年度は、現地での資料調査およびその分析を行なった。具体的には以下の通りである。資料調査：2020・2021年度は、新型コロナウィルス感染拡大の影響から渡米調査が不可能となり、上記（１）（２）については、遠隔レファレンス・サービスなどで断片的に収集するにとどまっていた。そうした調査状況を踏まえて、本年度は、本格的な渡米調査を実施し、部分的にではあるが、(A)教職大学院間の協議録、（B）外部大学院との協定文書および書簡、(C)教職大学院関係者により作成されたカリキュラム研究報告書を入手することができた。資料分析：上記の(A)(B)（C）の資料から、当時（1930・40年代）の教職大学院間および外部大学院との連絡・交流の動向を精査したところ、教職大学院の指導教師が中心となり、教師教育カリキュラムの評価基準および改善策について協議していた事実が確認された。また一部の教職大学院において、その協議を踏まえて、教職大学院プログラム全体のスコープやシークエンス、実践研究の在り方が見直されるなど、教師教育カリキュラムの抜本的な改革が進められていたことが判明した。それらの事実から、複数の教職大学院および外部大学院の間において、「教師教育のカリキュラム評価・改善」をめぐる共同研究が図られていたことを明らかにした。その知見を基に、学校現場における実践研究を中核とした教師教育の高度化に関する考察を行なった。
