项目摘要

本課題の研究目的は、キリシタン版『日葡辞書』(1603)を中心としたキリシタン版語学辞書について、辞書の構造の分析・解明と、それを踏まえた日欧辞書史上に於ける再評価である。令和2年度の研究計画では、元々、キリシタン版語彙の中に於ける『日葡辞書』の語彙の位置付けを目指していた。全キリシタン版の全文電子データ化作業を踏まえ、既に完成している『日葡辞書』の見出し語がキリシタン版本文の語彙をどれだけ収集しているのか、また、他の語学辞書や語彙集の語彙との関係について明らかにする事を目的としていた。令和2年度の研究成果としては、全キリシタン版の全文電子データの完成は叶わなかったが、修徳書・教義書類の本文に付属している語彙集である「言葉の和らげ」の全文電子データ化と、『日葡辞書』の見出し語・語釈との対照調査を進めた。「言葉の和らげ」は、本文の中で用いられた日本語の内「分別しにくき」語について説明を付した本文対応の語彙集であるが、何をもって「分別しにくき」語として認定されているのか、語の選出基準が何かは必ずしも明らかでない。「言葉の和らげ」と『日葡辞書』それぞれの語彙・語釈の共通点と相違点を明らかにする事で、「言葉の和らげ」と『日葡辞書』との関係、キリシタン版末期に刊行された『日葡辞書』に至る以前の見出し語・語釈の流れを明らかにする事が出来る。本年度は、キリシタン版最初期の『サントスの御作業』(1591)「言葉の和らげ」と『日葡辞書』の語釈記述・注記の機能に共通点が見られる点を明らかにした。また、同じ「言葉の和らげ」とは言え、『サントスの御作業』の「言葉の和らげ」と『ヒイデスの導師』(1592)の「言葉の和らげ」とでは、その見出し語選出の際に含まれる情報、選出の方法に違いがある可能性について言及をした。本課題は令和2年度で終了となるが、今後別の研究課題によって、研究を更に進めていきたい。
