保育施設や道路・鉄道の有無など特徴が異なる複数地域の調査では，地域毎に音環境の物理的状態は異なり，LAeq が高い地域ほど音環境への満足度が低くなることが確認されたが，これらの地域間で保育施設新設への賛否に違いは見られなかった。そこで新たに，回答者の社会経済的な属性が保育施設に対する意識に関係している可能性について検討した。ここでは調査対象地域の地価に着目し，地価公示額がこれまでの調査地域と異なる2地域を選定し意識調査を実施した。保育施設新設に対する賛否については，これまでの地域を比較すると，賛成する割合がやや低い結果となった。また，保育施設新設への賛否と公開行事への参加意思，騒音感受性との関連はこれまで得られた知見と一致していた。また，全調査地域のデータを用い，ロジスティック回帰分析による保育施設新設の賛否に影響を及ぼす要因の包括的な分析を行ったところ，騒音感受性が高い住民，公開行事への参加意思がない住民は保育施設の新設に否定的な意見を持つことが示唆された。本研究全体を総合した知見は次の3点である。1点目は保育施設新設候補地の選定について，保育施設新設の賛否は，地域のLAeqが高いか低いかといった周辺環境とは関係しないと考えられることから，保育施設からの音が周辺に及ぼす影響を気にして，最初からLAeqの高い地域を選び設置するのは望ましくないということ。2点目は保育施設新設の前に出来ることとして，公開行事への参加意思がある回答者は保育施設新設により肯定的であることから，近隣住民が参加したいと思うようなイベントの企画・事前告知をすることが有効だろうということ。3点目は，騒音感受性が高い住民がいる可能性も考慮し，園舎と園庭の設計に関して音響的な配慮を行うべきであろうということである。以上3点を保育施設の新設に向けた相互理解獲得プロセスとして提言する。
