本研究の当初の目的を変更し、コロナ禍によって対面で調査を実施することが困難であることを踏まえて保育者評定の質問紙を中心とした研究とした。変更後の目的は（１）縦断的調査を実施することによって，ごっこ遊びと自己調整機能の因果関係について検討すること、（２）ごっこ遊びと他の遊びの中で見られる自己調整機能を比較することによって、ごっこ遊びの中で見られる自己調整機能の独自性を検討すること、の２つであった。それぞれの研究で得られた成果は以下の通りである。（１）については、令和３年３月・１０月、令和４年３月の３回にわたって調査を行った。年少児・年中児の計１４８名とその保育者を対象に、ごっこ遊びの頻度とごっこ遊びの質、自己調整機能の関連を縦断的に検討した。交差遅延効果モデルを用いてごっこ遊びと自己調整機能の因果関係を検討したところ、ごっこ遊びの頻度が将来の自己調整機能を負に予測することを明らかにした。この結果は、自己調整機能が高まるにつれてごっこ遊びをしなくなるという新たな知見であった。（２）については、令和３年１０月に、遊びの中で見られる自己調整機能についての質問紙を開発し、ごっこ遊び、構成遊び（物を作る遊び）、機能遊び（身体を動かす遊び）の３つの遊びそれぞれについて、年中児・年長児計１４２名の担当保育者に回答を求めた。その結果、ごっこ遊びと他の遊びの中で見られる自己調整機能には有意差が見られないことが明らかになった。

The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of the research.
