2021年度、および繰越期間の2022年度（9月末まで）は、初年度の成果に基づいて「日常性」というテーマから「家庭性」を抽出し、これに沿ってウィリアム・フォークナーを中心とする研究対象のテクスト分析と、関連する文化史資料の読み込み、両者の検討を進めた。また、初年度に引き続き、モダニズムと家庭性の観点から比較対象としてヘンリー・ジェイムズの中期作品の分析を進め、その成果を論文「描かない画家--The Spoils of Poyntonにおける印象派と女性」としてまとめた。本論文は2022年5月に所属研究室の紀要『れにくさ』へ投稿し、受理された。本論文では、従来あまり検討されてこなかった作中の印象派画家/絵画という要素が小説/室内空間を語る視点に反映されていること、ならびにそれが女性の家事と労働の表象に結びつき、アイデンティティの問題を顕在化させるものとして作用していることを文化史的な背景に照らしながら論じている。2022年8月には英国に滞在し、新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大の影響により初年度から延期していた海外調査を実施した。大英図書館を中心に、ヴィクトリア&アルバート博物館等の研究機関・展示施設にて文献・資料調査を行い、日本ではアクセスが困難な雑誌資料等、多くの貴重な資料を入手した。帰国後はこれらの資料の読み込みを中心に進めた。今後、本調査の成果を上述のテクスト分析に反映させ、複数の論文にまとめて順次発表していく予定である。ジェイムズの中期以降の作品分析も継続しており、本研究のキーワードである「家庭性」と、ジェイムズが度々描いた「芸術」という主題との接続に着目しながら分析・考察を行っている。

In 2021, during the transition period, and in 2022 (end of September), the results of the first and second years were extracted from the "daily nature" and "family nature", and the results were analyzed and discussed along the center of the research object and the cultural history data. This thesis discusses the Impressionist painter/painter in his works and the elements in his novels and interior space. The viewpoint reflects the problem of women's family affairs and the representation of women's family affairs. The background of cultural history is illuminated. In August 2022, the United Kingdom was delayed, and the impact of new types of infections was greatly reduced. The overseas investigation was carried out in the first year. Research institutions and exhibition facilities such as the British Library and the Japanese Museum have been conducting research on documents and data, and many valuable data have been collected. After the country, the data and the center of the country In the future, the results of this investigation will be reflected in the above analysis, and a number of papers will be presented in sequence. In this study, the author analyzed the works in the middle of the period from "family nature" to "art" to "theme" to "analysis" and "investigation".
