本期間では，主に研究課題に用いる史料の収集，データ解析，論文の執筆を行なった。地方の行政文書から個票史料を収集し，史料を電子化してデータベースを作成した。そして，そのデータを用いて分析を行った結果，以下のことが明らかとなった。１，戦後日本で観測された急激な出生率の急増，通称ベビーブームの時期は，夫が出征・復員した夫婦だけでなく，夫が出征していない夫婦でも出生の増加傾向が見られた。これは戦争の終結による平和の回復のような，環境的要因の好転が出生率増加に寄与することを示唆する。さらに，ベビーブームの時期であっても小農家族経営を行なっている世帯では，出産による労働力の不足と将来的な追加の労働力が考慮されて出生行動が行われていたことも分かった。２，戦争の被害を最も受けたと言われる戦後の未亡人は，同時期の男性とは異なる救済方法が取られていた。生活保護法による救済では，男性が稼得能力の付与を目指した指導がされていたのに対し，女性は親族による保護や結婚による新たな親族の獲得が目指されていた。遺族や未亡人に対して特別法が制定されなかったため，未亡人は未亡人会を結成し，未亡人同士の連帯を強めつつ行政とのネットワークも築いた。以上の研究課題の成果の一部を，ベビーブーム関連と未亡人関連に分けてそれぞれ学会で報告し，コメントを反映して修正を重ね論文の執筆を行なった。査読の結果，２つの論文は査読論文として出版されることになった。

During this period, the main research topic is to collect historical materials, analyze them, and write papers. The most important thing is to fight for the survival of the deceased. At the same time, the male and the female have different methods of rescue. The law of life protects the ability of men to pay and guide them, while the law of marriage protects the ability of women to pay and guide them. A special law was enacted for the survivors, and the survivors were formed. Part of the results of the above research project is related to the relationship between the deceased and the society.
