研究代表者の赤松美和子は、7月に論文「台湾LGBTQ映画における子どもをめぐるポリティクス」を公刊、「台湾LGBTQ文学 : ジェンダー平等を語る言葉と物語」を日本語と中国語でオンラインで公開、9月にYouTube番組「台湾修学旅行アカデミー」で「台湾の文学」の講師を務めた。1月に大妻女子大学で、研究協力者の八木はるなが司会を務め、作家の李琴峰、LGBTQ文学研究者の劉靈均を講演者に迎え、シンポジウム「 LGBTQ文学表象：日本と台湾の最前線」を開催した。研究分担者の垂水千恵は、台湾LGBTQ文学に関する論考を含む単著『台湾文学というポリフォニー―往還する日台の想像力』を刊行したほか、10月に台北教育大学で開催された国際シンポジウム「「世界中的台灣文學」國際學術研討會」で講演「台灣文學成為「世界文學」、9月に台湾文學學會企画、本科研共催の国際シンポジウム「前進世界：台灣文學與文化海外系列講座」（日本担当）において、作家の賴香吟を招聘しての講演会「自由とは何か：戒厳令解除後の台湾文学」を主催し、講演も行った。研究分担者の張文菁は、7月に韓国翰林大学日本学研究所開催のシンポジウム『文学：ポスト帝国の文化権力を考える』において、報告「台湾におけるポスト帝国と再植民の文化政策―雑誌『新新』・禁書・通俗小説」、10月に国立台湾大学台湾文学研究所で講演「從通俗小説;看台灣文學史」、関西大学でのシンポジウム『台湾の現在』で講演「台湾文学にとっての「国語」」を行った。研究協力者の白水紀子は、4月に政治大学百年楼一楼で行われた日台文学対談「『藍屋子』的時空之旅」蔡素芬×白水紀子にオンラインで登壇するとともに、7月に国立台湾文学館で開催された「譯想天開―臺灣文學外譯成果發表會」で講演「純文學譯本在日本的普及和深化」を行った。
