项目摘要

今年度もコロナウィルス蔓延による海外渡航制限が完全には緩和されないため，現地（パプアニューギニア）での調査ができなかった．そのため，日本での文献調査を中心とした活動となった．アメレ語の否定，習慣相，過去形と未来形に関するデータを整理し，それとともに，近隣言語であるママンダ語やウサン語，ワスキア語やトクピシンなどの文献を調べ，対照できるデータを収集した．他にもニューギニア系の言語以外の文献調査を進め，個別言語のデータと類型論や記述言語学の統括を試みた．日本語や中国語，ハンガリー語などの他の言語の時制やアスペクトの例も収集を継続した．とりわけ，対照研究の手法を再考し，適切な対照方法を模索するとともに，次年度に収集するデータを考えた．その結果，アメレ語やコボン語，ウサン語は世界の言語の中でも現実・非現実の情報が，動詞形態論に集中していることがわかるのだが，それらの歴史的な変化が不明のため，どのように文法化してきたのかについては，何らかの理論的な考察が必要であると感じた．また，願望法による未来の意味や否定の用法の検討を実施した．引き続き，文献資料やフィールドノートとともに，理論的な前提に関する研究も参照しつつ，言語類型論的な観点と，ニューギニア系言語全体の観察を通して，論考を進めていく．
