项目摘要

本研究は、日常会話や新聞・文学作品等、様々な現代日本語の使用の場で実際に用いられる、容認度の低い文について、母語話者がどのように意味理解するかを、母語話者の持つ「構文」に関する文法的知識の観点から明らかにしようとするものである。特に節を含む種々の構文の実例を観察することにより、柔軟な文の意味理解の過程と文法的知識との関係を明らかにしようとしている。本年度は、これまで本研究が明らかにしてきた、文法的に逸脱的特徴を持ち、逆接の意味を表すような「ノヲ節」と「ノガ節」を含む構文群が、状態変化の意味を表す他動詞構文・自動詞構文に生じていることに着目し、こうした逸脱形式の派生が自他対応していることを論じた。この考察は、一般向けの図書『日本語の逸脱文――枠からはみ出た型破りな文法――』（教養検定会議、2023年2月発行）にまとめた。さらに、「ノガ節」と「ノヲ節」に生じた逸脱が、主格助詞「ガ」と対格助詞「ヲ」の問題としてより広く見られる現象なのかを明らかにするために、本年度は「モノヲ節」の実例をコーパスを用いて収集・観察し、逸脱的な「ノヲ節」との違いの一端を明らかにした。すなわち、逸脱的な「モノヲ節」の文は、①「～すればよいものを、～しない」型が多く、②「モノヲ節」が後置されることが多い。また、③発話者の評価や期待に反する行為への悔しさ・驚きなどの心情、さらに、行為者へのマイナス評価の表現が共起、または含意することが多い。④「モノヲ」と文法的に関係する述部の意味は、意図的行為が多く、対格助詞「ヲ」の意味が保持されているなどである。これらは、「接続助詞的な「ものを」の文の意味」（『大妻国文』54、2023年3月発行）にまとめた。
