本年度の実績を、研究計画に記したデータの収集・分析と成果の公表の２つの点から述べる。【データの収集・分析】ペーパーバック１０冊を入念に読み込み、本研究課題の対象とする脱規範性・変則性を示す例を多数収集した。２０２２年度は、主に脱規範的冗長性と脱規範的省略を示す例を中心に収集し、併せてその他多数の脱規範的・変則的例を取りこぼすことのないように収集した。これらは研究初年度で整えたパソコン機器でデータベース化し、今後の研究に活かしていく予定である。分析については、２０２１年度からの持ち越しになっていた脱規範的関係詞の汎用的使用について分析を継続して行った。さらに、二重that節構造の示す脱規範性について、新たなデータと文献の知見を加えて分析し直し、論考としてまとめた。これについては２０２３年度に公刊予定である。脱規範性・変則性を示す新たなデータを分析し、脱規範的冗長性を示す of や、that節を取る動詞の増加傾向、前置詞が省略される脱規範的簡略化、新たな成句の出現などの現象を発掘し、脱規範性・変則性を生む力の解明を目指してこれらの分析を進めている。【成果の公表】前年度よりデータを収集し継続的に研究を進めていた関係副詞 where の示す脱規範的汎用性の分析について論文を公刊した。本論文で、従来触れられることがあまりなかった関係副詞 where の多様な使用には、where が本来的に持っていた場所の意味の希薄化とそれに伴う汎用性の高まりが関係していることを指摘した。また、同様の内容について口頭発表を行った。さらに、脱規範性を示す二重 that 構造については論考としてまとめ、すでに原稿を提出済みである（２０２３年度中に公刊予定）。
