项目摘要

2022年度は「日ロの戦争記憶の定着と変化」をテーマとして、両国の歴史教科書や博物館などに日ソ戦争と千島占領がどのように描かれているかを調べるほか、現代ロシアにおける第二次世界大戦の戦勝意識と愛国主義の関係を明らかにする予定だった。しかし、2022年2月に始まったロシアによるウクライナ侵攻が本格的な戦争に転化して、日ロ関係も冷戦期と同様に悪化したことから、調査方法も内容も大幅に変更せざるをえなかった。3月にロシアが日本を非友好国に指定して日ロ領土交渉は停止したうえに、交渉を牽引してきた日本側の指導者である安倍元首相が銃撃により死亡し、日ロ領土問題の位相が完全に変わってしまった。したがって今年度の研究においては、現在進行中のロシア・ウクライナ戦争をフォローし、それがどのように日ロ領土交渉に影響しているのかに焦点を当てた。また、戦争続行中に行われたロシアの戦勝記念日におけるプーチン政権による愛国主義の慫慂などにも注目した。成果としては、単著『北方領土のなにが問題？』（清水書院）および共著『日ソ戦争史の研究』（勉誠出版）が刊行されたほか、ウクライナ侵攻に関するシンポジウムや日ソ戦争に関する著作の書評などに携わった。予定されていたロシアでの調査研究ができず、国内での文献調査と情報収集に終始した。NATO加盟国や日本を含むウクライナ支援国VSロシア及びその友好国という世界的対立の構図の中で、千島列島をめぐる過去の戦争記憶は日ロ両国でどのように取り上げられていくのかを継続的に追ってゆく。
