日本列島は四方を海に囲まれた環境から、古来周辺地域との海を介した人・物の往来があったことが知られている。それに伴う様々な技術や知識等の日本列島への伝来と、既存文化への影響はこれまでも指摘されており、本研究で課題とする服装もまた、この例外ではなかったことが想定される。本研究の目的は、古代から中世における日本列島の人々の服装の変遷を整理するとともに、東アジア地域における地域間交流が日本列島を含む各地域の服装文化に与えた影響を検証し、服装文化形成の基層にアプローチすることにある。特に、頭部の装いを構成する笄や冠り物、髪型の変遷に着目し、日本が影響を受けたと考えられる朝鮮半島と中国大陸の様相との比較を行う。令和4年度は、日本列島と朝鮮半島、中国大陸に残る絵画や俑等の図像資料を中心に、冠り物と髪型に関する情報を整理した。特徴的な資料については、トレース等の図化作業を通して形状や構造を検討した。特に着目したのは、上記の地域における6世紀～8世紀の資料である。すでに知られているように、日本列島において冠り物（冠帽等）の装着が確認される時期は、中国および朝鮮半島と比較すると遅れる。『隋書』倭国伝（7世紀代）には、隋代に至り倭の王がはじめて冠の制度を定めたことが記されており、頭部に何らかの冠り物を着けた記録としてはこれが初出となる。続く『旧唐書』（9世紀～10世紀代成立）、『新唐書』（10世紀～11世紀成立）にも関連記事があり、両史料には貴人が錦の帽を被り、百姓は椎髻で冠は無く、婦人は後ろに結髪するとある。こうした記述内容について、法隆寺金堂人物画落書（7世紀）、正倉院文書写経所帳簿反古紙人物戯画（8世紀）、高松塚古墳壁画人物像（7世紀末様～8世紀初頭）等に見える冠り物（ぼく頭）の図像を解析することで、より具体的な形状と構造の復元を試みた。

The Japanese archipelago is surrounded by the sea, and the ancient times are surrounded by the sea. The research topic of this paper is clothing, which is an exception to traditional Japanese culture. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of regional communication on clothing culture in Japan archipelago, including the clothing culture formation of the Japanese archipelago in ancient times and middle ages. The composition of the head and head parts of the Korean Peninsula and the the mainland of China mainland are compared. In 2004, the Japanese Islands, the Korean Peninsula, and the the mainland of China organized information on the image data center, the crown, and the type. The characteristic data is analyzed by shape and structure. The data of the 6th century to the 8th century are recorded in the article. The Japanese archipelago is known to have a crown (hat, etc.) and is installed in the Korean Peninsula. The period of confirmation is China. "Sui Shu" Japanese country (7th century), Sui Dynasty to Japanese king "Old Tang Book"(established in the 9th century to the 10th century),"New Tang Book"(established in the 10th century to the 11th century), related notes, historical materials, people's heads, women's back knot. The content of this description is described in detail in the following ways: the figure painting of the Golden Hall of the Horyuji Temple (7th century), the figure painting of the ancient paper in the book of the Shokurain Book Writing Office (8th century), the figure painting of the Takamatsuzuka ancient tomb mural (late 7th century ~ early 8th century), etc.
