项目摘要

本研究の目的は、漢語イスラム医学書『回回薬方』（以下『回回』とする）引用元であるイスラム医書の原典を同定し、内容比較から中国でのイスラム医学の受容の様相を検討することである。今年度は以下の成果を得た。（１）『回回』第30巻中の「我」とは、記述箇所により、『回回』の引用元である１２世紀ペルシャ語医書『宝庫』の著者（ジョルジャーニー）であったり、『宝庫』が直接引用・翻訳している10世紀アラビア語医書『医学典範』の著者（イブン・スィーナー）であることを明らかにした。同時に当該箇所について、『回回』の編者は、１２世紀カスピ海沿岸のイラン系王朝のペルシャ語医書の調剤レシピを一語一句正確に『回回』に収めたことが明らかになった。（２）インド医学由来の２薬品の調剤レシピをアラビア語医書と『回回』に見いだした。そこから、インド医学由来の薬の中国への伝播には2つのパターンがあることを明らかにした。14世紀までに各地で展開されたインド医学・イスラム医学・中国医学の交流を解明する手がかりとなる発見といえる。１つは9・10世紀にバグダードとカイロに集約された医薬情報が、アラビア語医学書に文字記録され、ペルシャ語と漢語に直訳されたもので、それらのレシピが多数『回回』に記録されている。もう１つは13世紀以降アラビア語圏を経由せず、インドから直接イラン地域・中央アジアを経て中国に入ったものである。（３）甘味飲料『舎里別』（以下シャラーブとする）の伝播の検証からは、元・明代のイスラム医学の薬品の受容・認識は、2つの地域・階級にて同時進行していたことを見いだした。中国北方に都を配したモンゴル支配王朝による受容と、中国南部の泉州や杭州など都市部のイスラム教徒共同体や漢人社会における受容である。いずれの場でも「舎里別シャラーブ」は、嗜好品として、また諸症状への“効能”をもつイスラム医学の薬として利用された。
