项目摘要

収集や研究、展示や教育といった博物館の活動の質を左右するのは、研究職員の学術的能力だけでない。その他の職員も含む個々の職員の有機的連携と創意工夫が、博物館の活動には直接的、間接的にあらわれる。本研究では、日米韓の博物館をサンプルに、職員の個々の労働を支える労働意欲や働きがいを質的研究と量的研究の両面から明らかにすることで、博物館という労働現場の組織行動モデルを明らかにし、その質的向上に寄与しようとしている。過去に続き本年度も、新型コロナ感染症の蔓延にともなう外国渡航の制約を受けたこと等により、当初計画どおりの現地調査（参与観察法を用いた質的調査と、質問紙調査法を用いた量的調査）がほとんどおこなえなかった。代わりに、主として以下の2点の活動をおこなった。第１に、米国での現地調査を、本年度2月中旬より開始した。当初計画で現地調査の開始は2年半以上も前だったため、研究対象となる組織や人びとの状況が計画時とは大きく異なる。このため、研究対象の概要の再把握という当初計画では想定していなかった作業からはじめることとなった。第２に、新型コロナ感染症の蔓延にともなう本研究の実施計画を見直しつつ、十分に近い質の目的を達成するため、本研究全体の研究実施計画を立て直した。具体的には、米国および韓国での現地調査を当初計画より大幅に短縮しなければならないことを受け、現地調査から引き出す成果の比率を下げ、理論的研究および日本の事例の研究から導き出せる成果の比率を上げるべく、双方の研究にエフォートを向けた。特に、博物館学および文化人類学の知見から発した本研究を、その研究内容と親和性が高い経営学、特に組織行動論の分野といかに節合できるかを、理論的に探究した。このために、文献調査はもちろん、海外研究協力者とのオンライン上でのミーティングを重ね、共同研究を進めるとともに、連名での成果公刊の計画を立てている。
