2022年度は最終年度であったが、研究計画中の欧州人権裁判所、欧州司法裁判所への訪問調査が新型コロナ感染症対策等の事情により未実施であることから、延長を申請した次第である。2022年度には、前年度から継続して、国連人権高等弁務官事務所（UNHCR）、欧州連合庇護機関（EUAA）の各種資料に示される国際基準に照らす形での国内判例の比較研究を進め、まとめとなる論説の執筆にとりかかるとともに、各人権条約の実施機関による締約国の報告書審査及び国連人権理事会の普遍的定期審査に表れる宗教の自由の保障に係る論点の洗い出しと整理を進めた。それに関連して2023年3月26日、研究員として登録している世界人権問題研究センターの研究会において、イスラム教以外の宗教活動を制限するのみならず、シャリア法の下で他宗教への改宗者に対し死刑を含む苛烈な措置をもってのぞんでいる、イランの普遍的定期審査（2019年に第3回審査が実施されている）の状況に関する報告を、同国の各人権条約上の報告書審査を念頭に置きつつ行い、質疑から多くの示唆を得た。また、以上に関連する考察として、人権条約実施機関の相互協力関係の分析を中心とする論考「国連人権条約機関の作業方法の調和―機関長会合・機関間会合の成果に照らして」を執筆した（国際人権法学会（編）『新国際人権法講座 第4巻』（信山社、2023年刊行予定）掲載予定）ほか、判例研究として、ポーランドの対ベラルーシ国境における庇護申請者の取扱いを巡る欧州人権裁判所の判決を検討した「国境での庇護申請拒否とノン・ルフールマン：庇護審査なしでの送還と条約3条― M.K. 対ポーランド判決―」（『人権判例報』第6号（2023年刊行予定）掲載予定）がある。2022年5月刊行の単著『国際人権法・庇護法研究』（信山社）とともに、本研究の骨格を補強する論考として位置づけられる。
