项目摘要

日本とドイツの難民の置かれた状況を比較するという観点から、年度始めの4月と年度終わりの2月～3月には、ドイツのベルリン・ライプツィヒ・ニュルンベルクを訪問し、難民の人たちと関係を築いてきた団体の人たちと接しながら、ドイツの難民統合の実践に関するフィールドワークを行った他方で、日本ではNPO法人WELgeeの協力により、イベントなどを通じて日本に難民として逃れてきた人たちとの接点を築いてきた。この成果として、2019年2月には「経済デモクラシーと現代日本」という共通テーマで行われたシンポジウムにて、「経済デモクラシーと難民問題」という題で報告を行い、ドイツや日本に共通して生まれている「難民を安定した就労に繋げる」という実践をふまえつつ、「経済デモクラシー」という観点から難民を含めた社会の構想を発表した。10月には韓国・中央大学で開催された国際会議にも出席し、前年度までの研究蓄積を国外（主に韓国・中国・ドイツ）の研究者とシェアする機会を得た。年度終わりのドイツ訪問の際には、前述のフィールドワークだけではなく、資料調査として、ベルリンの国立図書館と、ニュルンベルクにある連邦移民難民庁本局の図書館を訪れ、入手困難な史料や最近出版された重要文献等を入手した。
