本研究の第一の目的は、パネルデータ分析において、バイアスの補正を推定すべきかどうかを判断する定式化の検定を開発し、実証分析に応用することである。それと平行して、バイアスの補正をかけた状態で、伝統的な定式化検定をおこなった場合の検定統計量の振る舞いを分析する。第二の目的は、パネルデータ分析における標本選択問題に対し、データ欠損の新しいアプローチによる解決法の開発と応用である。本年度は主に、昨年度から引き続き差分の差分法（DID）、回帰不連続デザイン（RDD）のパラメータ推定における二重頑健推定の研究をおこなった。具体的には、DIDとRDD双方について、新たな二重関係推定量を提示し、その漸近的な性質を明らかにした。主な結論は、（１）両推定問題における二重頑健推定量の一致性と漸近正規性、（２）回帰分析に基づく古典的なアプローチが漸近的により有効となる条件と、有効性の証明、（３）二十頑健推定量と通常の回帰分析のいずれかを選択するための定式化検定、の3点である。また本年度は、パネルデータ分析の枠組みで、条件付きでアウトカムが観測される状況における二重頑健推定の研究を開始した。この問題は、データ欠損の問題ととらえることが可能であり、二十頑健推定が可能である。最後に、古典的なパネル分析の手法・固定効果モデルを拡張した、個体固有のトレンドをもったモデルに関し、誤差項の定式化検定を提案した。個体固有のトレンドを許容するモデルは、上記差分の差分法における条件付き平行トレンドと密接に関係すると考えられる。この成果は、下記研究集会で報告済みである。
