项目摘要

本研究の目的は、女性のエンパワーメントの測定指標の理論的枠組みを明確にした上で、女性のエンパワーメントと就業を中心とした関係要因を実証的に検討することである。前年度までに(1)インドの労働市場と女性の就業の理論の検討、(2)有配偶女性の就業選択と関係する要因を特定する実証分析、および(3)エンパワーメント測定指標の理論的枠組みのを検討、を実施し、査読論文としてまとめた。2022年度はこれらをふまえて、第1に、インドのデリーで2度の研究調査を行った。職種のバリエーションを確保して就業女性の世帯内意思決定についてインタビューするため、デリー南部の地域で延べ20名の女性を対象とした（第1回は2022年8月の約2週間に13名、第2回は2023年2月の約10日間で前回対象者7名を含む14名）。本調査から、次のことが見出された。(1)全員が結婚したら義理の家族と同居することが当然と考えており、①現在同居中、②結婚当初に同居したことがある、③同居を自ら提案したことがある、のいずれかであった。(2)拡大家族に住むことは、世帯内意思決定への機会を少なくすることと関係がある。(3)拡大家族内では、家事やケア負担をめぐって成人女性の間で協力（あるいは対立）している。(4)銀行口座の保有と、それを自身で運用できることは「自律性」と大きくかかわることが考えられる。第2に、大規模データの二次分析から、女性の世帯内意思決定と就業していることは有意に正の関係をもつが、拡大家族の中で世帯主の「義理の娘」であることは、世帯内意思決定に有意に負の関係をもつことが推定される。これらの成果を、3回の学会等での研究発表を行った（南アジア学会、日本人口学会、人口学研究会）。現在論文にまとめ、投稿準備をしている。
