项目摘要

高齢者の雇用を守ることは、企業の価値にどのような影響を与えるであろうか？本研究は特に人口の高齢化が顕著な日本において、高齢者の雇用を保護することが企業価値にいかなる影響を与えるかを実証的に解明する。前年度は、2012年8月に衆議院で可決された、60歳以上の従業員の雇用継続を実質的に義務化した高齢者雇用安定法の改正が、企業価値や企業業績、労働生産性、平均賃金、等に与えた影響の推定を、差分の差分（DiD）分析の枠組みで行った。主要な分析結果として、高齢者に対する雇用保護を強めた法改正が企業価値を低下させた事実が明らかになっていた。しかし、DiD分析は法改正が行われた前後の期間を含む2008年から2017年までの年次データを用いて比較的長期の分析を行っているため、2012年法改正以外の影響が分析結果に影響を与えている可能性もある。そこで今年度は論文の構成を再考し、法改正前後の短期間の株価収益率を用いたイベント分析を本研究の主要分析として位置づけ、前年度までに中心的に行ってきた長期的なDiD分析を補完的分析として論文をまとめることにした。より具体的には、今年度は衆議院における法改正可決日前後の短い期間における各企業の株価の超過収益率を用いたイベント分析を集中的に行った。分析の結果、法改正時点において55-59歳代の従業者が多い産業に属する企業の株価の超過収益率は、他の企業のそれと比較して、法改正可決日前後に有意に低下したことが明らかになった。更に追加的な分析によりこの結果の頑健性も確認した。そして、これらの短期イベント分析および長期DiD分析の結果をまとめた英文の初稿を完成させ、SSRN上に公開した。また、本研究課題と分析手法が関連している他の研究プロジェクトの論文が、2022年6月にFinancial Management誌に掲載された。以上が、今年度に行った主な研究実績である。

The employment of high-ranking people is not easy, and the enterprise is not easy to influence. This study aims to clarify the impact of population hikes on employment in Japan. In August 2012, the House of Representatives decided to revise the employment stability law for employees over 60 years old, improve the quality of employment, improve the performance of enterprises, improve productivity, average wages, and estimate the impact of the difference (DiD) analysis. The main analysis results are as follows: Analysis of the impact of the correction of the method in 2008 and 2017 on the long-term analysis of the method in 2012 This year's composition of the paper is re-examined, and the short-term income ratio before and after the method correction is analyzed. The main analysis of this study is the location of the previous year's central line. The long-term analysis is completed. The specific time period before and after this year's House of Representatives 'decision to correct the law is the time period for each enterprise's excess income ratio to be analyzed. The results of the analysis, the time of correction, the excess income ratio of enterprises in various industries, the comparison of enterprises in other industries, and the intentional decrease of enterprises before and after the date of correction. The robustness of the analysis results was confirmed. The results of the short-term and long-term analysis were published on SSRN. This research topic and analysis method are related to other research papers published in Financial Management Journal in June 2022. This year's annual report was published.
