近世日本の幕藩教育制度は、江戸後期、湯島聖堂を幕府直轄化した昌平坂学問所の設立をもって確立したとされるが、それ以降、明治初年まで、幕府・諸藩の学校は廟学制を維持しながら、幕府の要請と国際情勢の変化による漢学教育が果たす役割の変化に伴い、廟学制の内実は大きく変容していった。本研究の目的は、幕府・諸藩の学校における廟学制の変容を軸として、近世日本の学校教育の中心に据えられた漢学教育の目的・実践の変化要因を究明し、江戸後期、幕藩教育体制の確立にみられる漢学教育の役割と特徴を明らかにすることである。本年度は、昨年度に引き続き、江戸後期の藩校に設けられた孔子廟と釈奠実施の状況とその漢学教育の詳細について基礎的な調査をした。廟学制をとる動機と理由を含め、各学校の教育目標、人材養成の理念、入学者の出身、学規などを明らかにするために、主要な藩校に関する史料を収集し、分析した。江戸後期の藩校は、江戸前期から漢学教育を積極的に推進し、孔子廟と釈奠の儀式を確立した藩校、寛政の改革の後、新しく設立された藩校、寛政の改革の前に既に設立されていた藩校で、この時期に再構築、拡大された学校に分けられる。諸藩校において、学校の設立には様々な事情が伴い、継続的に運営するには努力を要した。本研究の成果は、教育史・東アジア史の分野だけでなく、世界的な文化史研究への影響も視野に入れ、学術論文・学会発表等を通じて国内外に広く発信された。

In modern Japan, the educational system of the Makudomi was established in the late Edo period and the Yujima Shogunate was directly administered. In the early Meiji period, the Shogunate maintained the school system of the Makudomi schools. In addition, the international situation was changed. The school system was greatly changed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the main causes of the transformation of Sinology education in the late period of Japanese history and the establishment of Sinology education in the late period of Japanese history. This year, compared with the previous year, the establishment of the Confucius Temple and the implementation of the detailed investigation of the foundation of Sinology education in the late period of Edo The reasons for the school system include the educational objectives of each school, the concept of talent development, the origins of the students, the rules of the school, and the historical materials related to the main schools. In the late period of Edo, the Chinese education was actively promoted, Confucius Temple and the ceremony of worship were established, the new government was established, and the new government was established before the reform of the government. All schools, schools and other related activities should be carried out together. The achievements of this research are divided into three parts: educational history, cultural history of the world, research field, academic papers and society development.
