研究テーマ「工作における制作物の解体と思考過程の明示化に関する研究」において、今年度は35名に調査を行った。本研究の内容は、制作を振り返る際に、これまでのように「制作物を見て振り返る方法」と、「制作物を解体し材料に戻すことを通した振り返り」とを比較することで「解体」が振り返りの手立てとなるかを明らかにしようとするものである。今回の調査結果では、被験者によって「解体」への心理的な抵抗感に違いがあり、そのことが調査結果に影響する点がみられた。抵抗感が強い被験者は解体による新しい視点はほぼ得られない状況であった。その一方で、解体から新しい視点を得た被験者がおり、前者との違いは、後者が解体による抵抗感について「制作物への愛着に気づいた」というメタ認知による捉え方を行っている点にある。かつて1970年代にメタ認知という語を用い始めたBrownは、子どものメタ認知能力を高めることによって「自立した学習者」を育てることに熱意を傾けた。解体における抵抗感へのアプローチは、メタ認知能力による自立した学習者の存在を見出すこととなった。本研究では引き続き解体による振り返りの中で被験者がどのようなことに気づくのか、さらに、振り返りで考えを練り直す等の操作が起こっているかに注目する。このことはメタ認知的モニタリング（課題達成度の自己評価、成功や失敗の自己分析など）のみならず、メタ認知的コントロール（目標再設定、再計画、方略再選択）を含む状態のことを指す。このメタ認知的コントロールこそが学習の転移につながる知識の獲得となり得ることから、解体がそのきっかけとなるか、引き続き分析を行い解体の有効性について明らかにしていく。
