本研究は、これまでの教育学研究において、ほとんど解明がなされてこなかった「HarmoS協定」以降の現代スイスの価値教育の動向について、とりわけ、スイスにおける倫理・宗教・市民性の教育に関する改革の動向と特質について明らかにすることを目的としたものである。今回の研究期間内においては、スイスドイツ語圏における倫理・宗教・市民性の教育について、その詳細を解明することを目的に、３年間で、スイスドイツ語圏の価値教育に関する改革の動向について、理論面および実践面の両面から実態解明を試みようとするものである。研究の３年目にあたる2022年度は、研究全体の総括として結果をまとめる予定であったが、COVID-19の影響により、渡航が困難となったため、急遽、計画を一部を変更して、現場における訪問調査から得られたデータではなく、以前訪問したことのあるチューリッヒの学校を通じて現地の教育行政機関から情報提供を得て収集した資料や文献の読解を進めた。とりわけチューリッヒの教育改革の動向やその詳細、またチューリッヒで使用されている教材に関して詳細を把握することができた。今回はとくに日本の道徳教育の授業における指導場面においても、時に対立のある場合も含めて、考え議論する方法へと、質的転換が求められてることから、多様な資料のなかでも「討議」に関する主題（討議の必要性、意義、具体的な方法など）を取り上げた教科書及び指導書を中心に、スイスドイツ語圏の価値教育の特徴について考察した。その成果の一部は論文として公開済みである。
