初年次教育に関わる学生スタッフの役割は初年次教育プログラムごとに異なっていると考えられる。本研究では、第一に、主に文献調査によって、各大学・各学部の初年次教育の学生スタッフの役割の相違点と共通点を明らかにする。第二に、学生スタッフ制度・運用実態について、主にヒアリング調査によって、明らかにする。第三に、学生スタッフの参加意欲の実態について、第一の類型と第二の制度・運用実態とを関連づけながら分析し、明らかにするものである。2022年 度については、COVID-19(パンデミック)の影響により、2021年度に整備したオンラインでのヒアリングを行える環境(zoom)を使用し、3大学の初年次教育担当者と、パンデミック状況下の授業実施形態と学生スタッフの導入状況について意見交換を行い、2020年度から2022年度の三年間の授業形態の変化、および学生スタッフの導入状況についての把握を行った。また、例年行われている京都産業大学の学生ファシリテータ(初年次科目を中心に授業支援を実施している)に対する意識調査のデータ分析を行い、彼・彼女らの参画意欲について関係者の意見聴取を行いながら取りまとめる作業を行った。各大学の初年次教育科目の実施形態・初年次スタッフの運用状況が変化していることを把握し、当初検討していた研究計画全体を見直した。
