2022年度は３件の実験（いずれも実験刺激の妥当化が目的）を実施した。また、２件の学会大会参加、１件の関連研究発表を行い、関連情報の収集を行った。まず、物語移入を実験的に操作する手続きの妥当性の確認を行った。具体的には物語接触が信念に影響を及ぼすことを示したGreen & Brock (2000)のstudy4の追試を２回行ったが、いずれも先行研究通りの結果は得られなかった。この結果は2023年のアジア社会心理学会にて発表予定である。次に、実験刺激の妥当性を確認する予備調査を行った。具体的には1930年代に実際に起きた水生生物（サメ）が絡む事故の新聞記事をベースに専門家に依頼して作成した物語を用いて、物語移入が海洋生物の保護政策への不同意を促進するという予測のもとに実験を行った。この実験に関しても仮説通りの結果が得られなかったため、物語刺激を大幅に変更した検討を2023年度に実施予定である。また、上記の実験では、先行研究では実施していなかった事前の個人差調査を行い、物語説得による誤信念獲得と関連しうる個人差変数の検討を行った。その結果、感情回避欲求が信念と有意な正の相関を示した。この点に関しても2023年度に引き続き検討予定である。学会では主に関連情報収集を行った。日本社会心理学会では物語説得と行動の関連を検討した研究の発表も行った。
