项目摘要

2021年度は、滋賀県の「琵琶湖湖畔の水郷集落」と岐阜県の「郡上八幡集落」について調査を行ったが、コロナ禍による緊急事態宣言等の影響もあり、十分な調査ができなかったため2022年度に追加調査を行った。また2022年度は新規に島根県の「津和野集落」の調査も行った。「琵琶湖湖畔の水郷集落」では、2021年度に調査した水郷集落の内、「大溝集落」「マキタ集落」「醒ヶ井集落」の追加ヒヤリング調査と、新たに「菅浦集落」の実測調査を行った。「菅浦集落」では、これまでの他集落の水利施設とは異なる「イド」と呼ばれる共同水場がみられた。この成果は、2023年度近畿大学工学部研究報告に投稿予定である。「郡上八幡集落」では、鮎釣りと飛び込み文化を再確認したうえ、各々が近接した場所で行われていたため水深の実測調査を行った。その結果、20～30mの距離で水深が約50cm～約400cmと大きく変化している箇所があることを確認できた。これだけの水深の違いがみられる市街地の自然河川は、極めて珍しい。この成果は、既に2022年度日本建築学会中国支部研究発表会で発表し、現在、日本建築学会の査読付き論文集に投稿するべく原稿を執筆中である。新規に調査した島根県の「津和野集落」は、重要伝統的建造物群にも選定されており、城下町の水路に鯉が泳いでいる水路景観が町のシンボルとなっている。しかし、行政や環境脅威藍へのヒヤリングから、鯉が泳いでいる水路は、城下町が形成された江戸期に整備されたものではなく、大火による被災を受けて明治期に整備されたもので、鯉は昭和期に幼児を喜ばせるために放流されたものであることが分かった。また、裏通りに郡上八幡の「エイ箱」と酷似した水利施設があることや、通りからは見えないが屋敷の中庭に池を設けた広大な庭が残されていることが分かった。この成果は2023年度日本建築学会学術講演会に投稿済である。
