群馬県伊勢崎市島村地区において、あらたな登録文化財を目指して新地地区所在の田島元雄家離れを実測調査し、図面を作成し、写真資料を整理した。また、昨年度登録書類を整えた新地地区の田島新一家住宅主屋が第103回有形登録文化財(建造物)に登録された。境島村登録文化財活用推進協議会主催の「境島村の伝統的建物の調査発表「島村伝統的民家の魅力と可能性」」が2022年10月8日（土）に伊勢崎市境総合センターにて開催され、大野が基調講演「島村伝統民家の魅力と可能性」と題して講演し、大学院博士課程後期のチェン・スイー・イーさんが学生の島村における地域連携活動について紹介した。会場は地元の方々はじめ、伊勢崎市長と教育長、県議・市議など行政関係者、学識経験者など112名の参加を得た。この時の参加者の感想や意見は、境島村登録文化財活用推進協議会会報「推進通信」第6号において紹介された。2022年度に発行された「推進通信」第5号～8号の内容と、上記調査発表会の講演資料を掲載した『令和4(2022)年度「推進通信」5号～8号合併号』を編集・刊行した。また、世界遺産田島弥平旧宅内の新蚕室遺跡に関して、遺跡の現状調査と資料調査、関連建築調査を通じて、新蚕室の復元考察を行った（チェン・スイ・イーと共同）。山形県金山町の旧家近岡家主屋の国有形登録文化財に協力し、2022年度に登録が実現したが、続いて同家土蔵（内蔵・外藏）の登録に向けた調査を行った。
