第4年度にあたる令和4年度の研究実績は、以下の通りである。（1）研究に必要な原典・文献の収集については、第1～3年度の実績を基にして増強した集書リストを作成し、集書年次計画の第4年目の計画を実施した。（2）収集された文献、特にアラビア語原典を用いて、イスラーム法源学の専門用語（典拠とその解釈を含む）の収集をいっそう推進し、「イスラーム法源学データベース」の構築を進めた。またデータベース用の年表・地理・人物・事件データの収集を進め、また法源学の専門用語については、用語集として刊行する準備を進め、4分冊について実際の刊行に向けた編集作業に着手している。（3）サラフィー主義の継続的な討議をおこない、エジプト、シリア、アラビア半島における現代サラフィー主義について、思想およびネットワークの解析を進めた。（4）重要4分野について、「政治と暴力」「イスラーム経済」「ハラール食品産業」「性倫理と服装規定」の研究会と作業部会を実施して、成果発信の一環としての学術書（市販書）の企画についてメンバー間での討議を継続し、最終年度において取りまとめをおこなう準備が整った。（5）全体的な成果発信としては、本年度は国際研究集会1つを共催し、国際会議の1つにセッション参加し、国内の公開シンポジウムを1つ実施し、研究代表者・分担者が個別に国内外の学会および研究集会で、国際学会報告6本、招待講演5本を含む16本の成果発表をおこなった。また、海外での出版3冊を含む図書8冊に成果を盛り込んだほか、査読論文4本を含む14本の論考を公刊した。
