本課題は、新たな「儒教美術史」という領域を提唱することを目的とする。そのために、これまでの儒教に関する美術主題の事例研究の成果を発展的に統合し、儒教美術の成立地と波及地における様式的変容について、全体像を追究する。本年度もCOVID-19の流行に伴い、海外・国内調査の延期をしたが、下半期において当初の予定よりも研究を進めることができた。（1）聖廟調査：佐賀県多久聖廟の調査をおこなった。（2）作品調査：「聖蹟図」（多久市先覚者史料館）、狩野典信「孔子像」（福岡県立修猷館高等学校）、狩野常信「五聖賢像賛」（尼崎市立歴史博物館）等を調査した。日本に所在する儒教美術について、成立地である中国との図様の同一性と変容について確認し、有益なデータを得ることができた。（3）展覧会における公開：研究成果の一部を特別展「孔子をまつる―歴聖大儒像の世界」（2022年11月、筑波大学附属図書館）にて公開した。（4）講演・シンポジウム：上記の展覧会に合わせて11月3日に代表者の水野が、「狩野山雪「歴聖大儒像」の伝来と魅力 」と題する講演をおこなった。また、11月5日に「徹底解剖！！狩野山雪「歴聖大儒像」」をオンラインにて開催した。国内外から40名の参加者があり、年度末にはシンポジウムの成果報告論文集を刊行した。2023年3月18日には、台湾・中央研究院にて国際会議「東亞儒教藝術研究學術工作坊」を中央研究院との共催にて実施した。研究代表者の水野、分担者の塚本、鷲頭、楢山が研究発表をおこない、パネルディスカッションをおこなった。これらの内容は次年度以降に書籍として刊行する予定である。（5）研究資源化：博物館や美術館が公開している収蔵品データベース、展覧会図録などから儒教美術に関する情報を博捜し、儒教美術データベースを作成している。また、展覧会図録とシンポジウム報告論文集の2冊を刊行した。

This topic is new to the field of Confucian art history. The research results of the case study on the theme of Confucianism art are developed and integrated, and the content of Confucianism art is investigated. (3) Exhibition opened: A special exhibition of research results "Confucius-The World of the Holy Confucian Image"(November 2022, Tsukuba University Affiliated Library) opened. (4) Lecture: On November 3rd, the representative of the exhibition, Mizuno, gave a speech entitled "The charm of the image of the holy scholar" in Kano Mountain Snow. November 5, 2015:"Complete Dissection!" "The Holy Spirit" is the name of the Holy Spirit. 40 participants from home and abroad were invited to participate in the conference. At the end of the year, a collection of papers on the results of the conference was published. March 18, 2023, Taiwan·Academia Sinica International Conference "East Asian Confucian Art Research Workshop" was jointly promoted by Academia Sinica. Research representative Mizuno, contributor Tsukamoto, Washimoto, and Yuyama are invited to participate in the research. The content of this book is scheduled for publication in the following year. (5) Resourcing research: museums and art galleries are open to the public, exhibitions are recorded, information about Confucian art is searched, and Confucian art is created. 2 volumes of the report collection will be published in the exhibition.
