项目摘要

令和3年度は、これまでに得られた研究成果をまとめ、さらに、養育スタイルの多様性に関する調査研究（研究3）を実施した。これまでの研究（研究1、研究2）では、他人種効果の背景に顔の接触頻度を想定し、より身近であり接触経験の多い顔の属性が顔と音声の統合の発達に影響することを示した。一方で、親と乳児がどのように触れ合うかは個人特性や文化的背景の影響があり、一つの文化圏においても一様ではないといえる。そこで研究3では、日本人の母親、父親を対象に、文化的背景に基づく自己観や態度と親の養育スタイルを測定し、先行研究との比較から、親子間コミュニケーションの様式の多様性について検討した。1歳以上の子どもを持つ母親と父親を対象とする為、9000人の日本人の成人からスクリーニング調査により対象者を抽出し、該当する400名を調査対象者とした。結果では母親と父親の持つ自己観が、相互協調的な社会の成熟目標を媒介して、養育スタイルを予測することが示された。この結果は、欧米圏、南米やアフリカ圏の保護者を対象とした先行研究と同様に、文化的背景により異なる自己観が、属する社会の成熟目標を媒介して、養育スタイルの文化差を生み出すという関係性を示していると考えられる。本研究で実施した研究成果に関しては国際誌への投稿を進め、Quarterly Journal of Experimental PsychologyやAttention, Perception, & Psychophysicsなどの国際誌に採択されており、またいくつかの国際・国内学会において成果発表も実施した。
