《視角1：旧民法が継受した19世紀のフランス法及び、その現在に至るまでの理論的発展の究明》に関しては、第一に、過失相殺制度の「誕生」と「死亡」のプロセスを明らかにすることによって、過失相殺制度の「危険分配の固定化」機能を浮き彫りにし、同制度の暫定的・補助的な性格を明らかにした。これを日本民法学における第一の課題に照らし合わせ、日本にみられる様々な新型の不法行為における過失相殺の適用は最終的に消滅に向かい合うべきだと提言する。第二に、過失相殺の内的な基準として、類型的な判断基準を抽出した。第三に、「被害者にかかわるあらゆる減・免責事由」を包括する制度として過失相殺を再構成した。以上は、博士論文（以下、博論と略称）の内容にまとめて、2020年9月30日に東京大学法学政治学研究科に提出した。《視角３：子法（台湾法）研究による日本的解決の合理性の再評価》に関しては、日本における過失相殺の拡大適用とそれを支える理論的構成が台湾において積極的に受容されていたことを明らかにし、これは社会的必要性を考慮せずになされた「理論継受」と位置づけて、その台湾社会における合理性を再考することを提言した。この部分の研究は、博論に加えることをせず、別途短編の論文にまとめることにする。なお、有意義なフィードバックを得るため、2021年1月23日に台湾の成功大学で行われた「法律與科技前瞻工作坊」学会において、本論文の内容に基づいて報告を行った。《視角2：明治民法が成立した後の解釈論に多くの影響を与えてきたドイツ法の解明》は、新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大の原因で、これ以上ヨーロッパでの資料収集が不可能となったため、「横からの比較」と予定していた仏独比較を博論に組み込むことを断念し、将来の課題にした。
