本研究の中心課題である17世紀後半の奈良絵本・絵巻制作の実態解明を目指し、2021年度説話文学会例会シンポジウム「図像説話と女」（2021年12月18日）において口頭発表をおこなった「一七世紀後半の絵巻と女性―『子易の本地』を例として―」について、前半と後半に分けて、それぞれ「『子やす物語』考―諸本と典拠―」『藝文研究』123－1（2022年12月）、「一七世紀後半の絵巻と女性―『子易の本地』を例として―」『説話文学研究』58号（2023年7月刊行予定）として成稿化した。本作品は基本構造を同じくしつつも時代設定や人名、物語展開の異なるＡ・Ｂ二系統に大別されるが、両系統いずれにも朝倉重賢筆と推察される伝本が認められ、異なる系統の豪華な絵巻が重賢周辺の絵草紙屋で集中的に制作されたことがわかる。精査の結果、Ａ系統の本文は従来指摘されてきた『百練抄』所収記事ではなく、『神皇正統録』所収記事をもとに成ったことが指摘でき、また寛文元年の版本をもとに絵巻化されたＢ系統の絵には、大英博物館蔵『役行者絵巻』や思文閣古書資料目録掲載の『武家繁昌』絵巻との類似が認められるなど、重賢周辺の絵草紙屋での制作実態の一端と１７世紀後半の嫁入り本としての本作品の意義を明らかにした。すなわち、『神皇正統録』に記された中世日本紀に基づく「夫婦婚合」と老の坂の縁起伝承の影響下にある「子易平産」を体現、予祝する絵巻としての意義を見出せるものと結論づけ、17世紀後半に集中的に制作された嫁入り本の具体的な意義の一端を明らかにした。
