本年度も昨年度までと同様に、計量文献学手法を用いた源氏物語写本の本文調査を行なっている。調査は、「誰がどの写本を親本として用いて、現存する写本を作成したか」という疑問に対して、仮名字母の出現傾向を用いて書写者を調査し、本行本文の表記を用いて親本の調査を行なっている。本年度は、昨年度までに提案した写本分類に必要な尺度に基づき、『源氏物語』写本を対象とした、仮名字母の相違や表記の異同を考慮した本文データの入力と、教師なし分類手法による書写者の推定と本文の分類を行った。調査結果は論文及び学会発表にて報告している。これまでに調査した源氏物語写本の本文データは、今後の新しい写本調査の際の比較対象となるため、写本調査の進展に伴い、何らかの写本間関係が指摘できる写本の発見が期待できる。具体的には、鎌倉時代中期の写本を対象とした「仮名字母の出現傾向を用いた『源氏物語』写本の調査」と、室町時代後期の写本を対象とした「後柏原院本『源氏物語』の仮名字母と本文表記」を行った。また、EAJS2021にて「変体仮名を用いて写本の書写者と書写年代に迫る」と題して発表した内容を論文化し、「日本古典文学を世界にひらく」(共著)として出版した。また、第十六回ワルシャワ大学日本祭ワルシャワ大学における東洋学の成立90周年記念国際会議にて、正徹本『源氏物語』の分類結果をオンライン発表している。本研究は、仮名字母とその表記の点からの本文調査のため、これまで奥書といった写本間関係を示す手がかりがない写本であっても、写本の本行本文に現れる用字に着目した視点から写本の位置付けを明らかにできる可能性がある、と考えている。
