项目摘要

本研究は、音韻情報の冗長性やそれによって担保される音声コミュニケーションの頑健性に注目しながら、日本語(ここで日本語という場合には、全て東京方言を指すものとする)の単語韻律の音響特徴を同定することを目的としている。具体的に検証する問いは、次の3点である。1)アクセント型の違いは、日本語ピッチアクセントの微細な音響特徴にどのような影響を与えるか、2)発声法の違いによって、日本語ピッチアクセントに音韻相補関係は生じるか、3)連続母無声化の起こり得る音韻環境と起こらない音韻環境では、日本語話者の日本語ピッチアクセントに関する表象(representation)は異なるか。これらの課題に取り組み、本年度は、主に以下の成果を得た。(1)3月にFrontiersから出版されている学会誌、Frontiers in Psychologyに論文を投稿し、査読結果をもとに論文を修正した結果、5月に論文が掲載された。査読の過程で、査読者より参考になるコメントが多くあり、これらをもとに次の研究を計画している。 (2)2021年10月にthe Acoustical Society of America(アメリカ音響学会)の学会誌(the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America)に掲載された論文の内容を更に追究するための研究を実施するにあたり、準備を始めた。現在は、実験でどのような単語や文を用いるかと検討中である。
