新型コロナウィルス感染拡大のため、日本と中国間の往来が厳しく制限され、予定されていた中国での方言調査は実施困難となった。この影響で、今年度の研究活動は主に日本国内で行わざるを得なくなり、研究期間の1年間の延長が避けられなかった。しかし、現在では出入国の制約が徐々に緩和されており、中国での調査が可能となる状況が整った際に迅速に活動を再開できるよう、調査票の作成や見直しを進めている。その傍ら、過去に行ったフィールドワークで得た周辺地域の方言データの分析と整理を実施し、その成果を取りまとめた論文の執筆を行っている。さらに、漢語方言研究会などの学術集会への参加を通じて、同じ分野の研究者たちとの意見交換や情報共有を積極的に行っており、研究成果のさらなる向上を目指している。

The communication between Japan and China is restricted and predetermined. The investigation of dialects in China is difficult. This year's research activities are mainly conducted in Japan, and the research period is extended for one year. The restrictions on entry and exit of China have been relaxed and the investigation of China has been possible. In the past, the author of this paper has been working on the analysis and arrangement of regional dialects. In addition, the Chinese Dialect Research Association will participate in academic meetings, exchange opinions, share information, actively conduct research, and raise awareness of research results.
