当初予定した元禄・享保期の庶民日記のうち、これまでに以下の作業をおこなった。（１）大和国山本平左衛門日記での出産についての分析を2020年度に論文化したが、依頼によって英語論文化、その後その展開過程について、講演などを行うとともに、今年度、歴史人口学会関西地区の年次大会で招待講演をおこなった。報告要旨が『人口学研究』で公開される予定。（２）摂津国伊丹郷町の八尾家の日記について、この間、月１回のペースで、翻刻と分析をすすめてきた。その結果、この日記の記主は、従来信じられてきた通称八左衛門ではなく、八尾寛敬（通称五郎二郎）の日記であることが判明した。また、この科研を通じて分析してきた、既存翻刻のある享保１５－１９年に加えて、享保１２・１３年および享保２０年の翻刻を行い、寛保１年以降についても翻刻の粗原稿を完成させた。宝暦～明和期の雑記帳も粗原稿を作成した。さらに、月１回程度の研究会をおこない、翻刻の確定、内容の検討を行うとともに、八尾家の経営、家族・親族関係および伊丹郷町の自治・行政、領主近衛家との関係などについて、日記からわかる事柄の小論文集を企画した。論稿はおおよそ集まり、来年度には報告書として公刊する予定。
