本研究の目的は、江戸時代から明治時代への地図製作の移行過程の一端を解明するため、青年期に江戸時代の作図法を学び、明治期にも地図製作をした民間地図製作者を複数取り上げ、製作した地図表現の比較、文書などによって経歴と師弟関係などの系譜を明らかにすることを目的としている。具体的には、宗孟寛、酒井捨彦、酒井彪三、北本栗の４人を取り上げ、彼らとの血縁・子弟関係から酒井喜熙、酒井喜雄、酒井捨彦、石黒信由、石黒信基、伊能忠敬などを研究対象とする。本年度は、宗孟寛の調査を主に実施した。1881年に参謀局が清国の黄遵憲に地図を売り渡した事件後、参謀局を辞した酒井捨彦の兄で横山大観の伯父木下孟寛は大阪へ転居し、宗に改姓した。日清戦争時に宗孟寛は大阪の積善館から依頼され、日本・朝鮮・清国の地図を作成し、また同時期に同社から出版された教科用地図帳の地図を作成した。宗孟寛関係資料収集のため、国立国会図書館のほか、大阪府立図書館、大阪市立図書館などで資料収集を実施した。宗孟寛作製の地図の撮影、また関連文献の収集は実施できた。大阪での資料収集では、研究協力者の射水市新湊博物館野積正吉氏、兼岡真子氏と共同で実施した。ただし、1896年当時に宗孟寛が居住した現在の大阪市西区江戸堀を、過去の市街図の調査、大阪市西区役所のご協力をいただいたが、ご子孫宅の判明までには至らなかった。なお、県内では鷹見泉石関係の文献収集、村絵図の補充調査などを行った。・印刷博物館で講演「水戸藩地図製作者の系譜－長久保赤水から横山大観の父と伯父へ」（2022年11月26日）

The purpose of this study is to clarify one end of the transition process of land production from the Edo period to the Meiji period, to study the method of land production in the youth period, to compare the performance of land production in the Meiji period, and to clarify the genealogy of land production in the junior period. Specifically, the four members of the research team, namely, Yukihiko Muneki, Sakai Shozo, and Kitamoto Kuri, are selected from the following categories: Yukihiro Sakai, Yukio Sakai, Sakai Shohiko, Nobuyuki Ishiguro, Nobuki Ishiguro, and Tadakiya Ino.
