2022年度は、コロナウィルス感染症の拡大が少しずつ落ち着いたものの、調査対象地域の一つである中国大陸部への渡航がまだ容易ではなく、2021年度に引き続き、日本国内在住の中国系移民に関する資料収集（2022年度南山大学南山大学パッヘ研究奨励金I-A-2 の課題でもある「在日華僑の生業と生活空間に関する民族誌的研究」と並行した形で）と、文化人類学における華僑華人研究にかかわる理論的系譜の整理及びその意義と方法について研究を行った。前者に関しては、論文にまとめる段階であるが、戦後日本社会全体が再編成する中、華僑華人も自らの立ち位置を定めようと、居住地や生業を変えたり、地域住民との関係を再構築しようと努めてきたことは、複数の聞き取り調査を通じて明らかとなった。後者に関しては、論文「文化人類学における華僑華人研究の意義と方法」（『人類学研究所研究論集』第12号，pp.141-159，南山大学人類学研究所，2023年3月）として発表している。ポストコロニアルの諸理論、諸批判を受けて以来深い自省に追い込まれつつ、新たな意義を探し求めている文化人類学同様、華僑華人を対象とする研究もその意義と方法を厳しく問われているのである。2022年度のこうした研究は、今回の課題だけでなく今後の華人研究にとっても必要不可欠なものであり、意義のある作業であると考えている。今後、こうした研究成果を踏まえつつ、華僑華人の社会的、文化的実践と彼らと何らかのつながりをもつ「外部」との関係をより体系的に考察するための理論的枠組みの模索も課題の一つとしている。

In the future, the achievements of this research will be stepped on, and the social and cultural practice of overseas Chinese will be investigated.
