２０１６年から２０２２年末にかけて豊洲市場における魚種別オークションの結果を月次でみると、取引量は回復傾向にあるものの、２０２３年前半についてもコロナ禍前の水準には戻っていないことがわかった。この傾向はほぼ全ての魚種で共通であった。その一方で、売上はコロナ前の水準をほぼ回復しているが、この背景には平均価格がほぼ全ての魚種で増加していることがある（価格は魚種別に平均値を高値・中値・低値などに分けて記録されている）。２０２０年度の最初の緊急事態宣言の影響を、日次データを使って、Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD: 回帰不連続デザイン)の方法で分析した際は、比較的高価なマグロ(生鮮・冷凍)、マダイ、キンメダイ、クルマエビなどを対象とし、一部のみ価格下落が見られた。今回、２回目(２０２１年１月７日）、３回目(２０２１年４月２３日）についても、バンド幅を変更したり、カットオフポイントを曜日を考慮して変更するなどの工夫をしながら、同様の分析を実施したが、有意な価格下落効果は観察されなかった（ただし、分析できたのは一部の魚種の特定の価格帯に限られている）。時系列のオークション結果の記述統計の可視化を行うと、２０２２年末のインバウンド制限の緩和以降は平均価格上昇の傾向が顕著になりつつあるが、明確なカットオフポイントが定めにくいため、緊急事態宣言の影響と同様の回帰不連続デザインによる分析には至らなかった。
