本研究の目的は、家計の予期しない所得の変化、つまり所得ショックに対して家計の行動がどのように変化するのかを明らかにすることである。特に所得ショッ クにより、親の労働供給と親の子どもへの教育投資がどう変化するのかに着目する。教育投資の指標には金銭的投資と時間的投資を用いる。恒常的な所得ショック と一時的な所得ショックを区別したうえで、これらの所得ショックに対する教育投資の反応を推定し、保険がどの程度機能しているのかを評価する。さらに、 銭的投資と時間的投資の関係を評価し，家計の教育投資行動の解明を目指す。2022年度は次の研究を行なった。第一に、所得ショックと労働供給行動に関する研究の改訂を行った。この研究では家計の消費と労働供給を内生的に考慮した意思決定モデルを推定し、夫婦それぞれの所得ショックに対する消費保険パラメーターと夫婦それぞれの労働供給のFrisch弾力性とMarshallian弾力性を推定した。この論文は2021年度に査読付国際雑誌へ投稿しエディターから改訂要求があったものである。査読者やエディターからのコメントを参考にして論文の改訂を行った。第二に、教育投資に着目した研究を行った。所得ショックと教育投資の関係に関するモデルの推定を行ったが、頑健な推定結果が得られていない。現在モデルの推定を中断し、モデルを再考している。子供の出生後における父親と母親のそれぞれの所得と育児時間の変化のデータを精査し、この変化を説明するモデルを構築すべく研究を行っている。
