本申請研究の目的は，日本においてフランチャイズ・システムを導入している組織（以下，フランチャイズ組織）内における協調と競争のダイナミックなメカニズムを解明することにある．具体的には，ミクロレベルでは合理的に行為しているフランチャイジーの相互作用が時間経過に伴って変化していき，最終的にマクロレベルではフランチャイズ組織全体にとって「意図せざる結果」が生じてしまうメカニズムを説明することを試みる．フランチャイズ組織は，フランチャイザーとフランチャイジーという独立した二種類の事業者が契約関係に基づき協調しながら事業を進める組織である．しかしながら，必ずしも常に協調が維持されるわけではなく，時に両者が利益配分を巡って競争するレント・シーキングと呼ばれる活動が観察される．このレント・シーキングは，そのフランチャイズ組織が持つ本来のビジネスモデルを歪め，機能不全に陥らせることもある一方，大きくビジネスモデルを転換する契機にもなりうる．この研究は既存研究に欠けていた組織内における協調と競争の二側面からアプローチにより，よりフランチャイズ組織において現実に生じている現象を説明できるようになるだけでなく，実際のフランチャイズ経営に対して多くの具体的な示唆をもたらすものである．本年度は，　理論と事例に関する文献研究を進めるとともに具体的なフランチャイズ組織に関する事例研究とサーベイ調査のための準備を行なった．

The purpose of the study of this application is to clarify the coordination and competition within the organization (hereinafter referred to as "organization") in Japan. The specific problem is that the interaction between the two groups is reasonable, and the interaction between the two groups is time-consuming, and the final problem is that the organization is organized as a whole. The organization is independent of two kinds of business, the contractual relationship is basic, the coordination is basic, and the business is advanced. In addition, it is necessary to coordinate and maintain the activities of the company. This is the first time that the company has been involved in the development of the company, and the second time that the company has been involved in the development of the company. This study is based on the existing research on coordination and competition in the organization, and explains the phenomenon of occurrence in the organization. This year, the research on theoretical and case studies has been carried out.
