本研究は、株式市場における「親子上場」解消による非上場化の増加に焦点をあて、「親子上場解消の決定要因とその影響」を明らかにすることを目的としている。また、そうしたグループガバナンスや事業ポートフォリオのありかたについては近年注目も高まっており、企業側の実態などの分析もスコープに入れて活動を続けている。本研究期間においては、資本市場、企業経営の双方ともにコロナ禍などで大きな影響を被った。そのような中、親子上場廃止を含む非上場化や企業の事業ポートフォリオマネジメントなど関連するテーマをまとめて、2022年3月に『事業ポートフォリオマネジメント入門』という書籍に取りまとめることができたことに続き、本年は翻訳書ながら『全社戦略』を上梓し、親子上場問題にも深く関わりのあるグループガバナンスの考察や、日本ではまだなじみのないペアレンティング戦略についての紹介を行うことができた。そうした成果を基に、招待講演などを含む対外発表や、学術誌・一般紙への寄稿などを精力的に実施することができた。特に、親子上場問題を含めた企業の事業ポートフォリオマネジメントとファイナンシャルリテラシーのありかたについて、及び投資家と企業との認識のギャップについて論考をまとめることができたのは収穫であった。この研究期間中、自身が社外役員を務める複数の企業において、実際に親子上場の廃止、あるいは親子上場に端を発する経営課題が明らかになり、本研究の意義を裏付ける結果となったほか、自分自身が当事者として企業の意思決定に参加できるという貴重な機会を得ることができた。それらに関する考察も含めて、研究成果をまとめていく予定である。
