项目摘要

本研究は、戦後日本で性に関する教育が学校文化において何を摂取し排除しながら「純潔教育」から「性教育」へと整理されていくのか、性教育の構築プロセスを解明しようとするものである。令和4年度は、既に学会で報告した1970年代初頭におけるセクシュアリティ概念の受容について、新たに資料を加え精査した上で、分析を行った結果を論文化した。具体的には、①1970年代初頭にアメリカから来日したカーケンダールを通してセクシュアリティの概念が啓蒙されていく様相について学校保健界や同時期に設立された（財）日本性教育協会との関連から動向を追い、当時の関係者らの報告や資料等を基に、それらの影響等について分析した結果を発表した。また、②全国初の「純潔教育」手引書として、『純潔教育系統案』を作成した鹿児島県教育の当時の状況を知る手立ての一つとして、同県の戦後から1960年代までの養護教諭の変遷を整理した。令和3年度に印刷中であったその成果物を令和4年度は論文の形で報告することができた。これら令和4年度の調査過程で、手引書作成前後の青少年育成に関する動向を明らかにする必要性を見出した。これらが後の学校文化における性に関する教育にどのように影響を与え、変化していくのかを見ていくことが今後重要と思われる。さらに、③調査期間や機関が限定される中ではあったが、国立国会図書館や国立教育政策研究所及び同志社大学等で調査が出来た。これまで入手してきた資料に加え、戦後から1970年代までの「純潔教育」に関する新たな資料を入手できたことは、本年度の成果の一つであった。
