三田谷啓（さんだやひらく、1881－1962）は、三田谷治療教育院（兵庫県芦屋市）を設立したことで知られる医師・教育家である。令和４年度は、前年度に行なった研究発表の内容をもとに、課題を精査した上、論文を執筆して公刊することができた（「三田谷啓が指導した「母の会」の会員による三田谷治療教育院の利用動向―同院所蔵の「母の会」会員名簿と「入院児」名簿の分析から―」）。用いた資料は、三田谷治療教育院所蔵の『入院児名簿（一）三田谷治療教育院』（昭和2年8月入院～昭和11年8月入院）、『昭和八年七月末日現在 日本母の会々員名簿 日本母の会本部』、『昭和九年九月現在 大阪母の会々員名簿』である。それらの情報をエクセルファイルに入力した上、適宜照合し、入院児の母親の「母の会」加入状況を確認した。加えて、入院児の貴重な個別資料も活用することで、母の会会員の実態に迫ることができた。母の会会員の子どもが入院する例のうち８割は、夏期休暇の期間に約1か月利用していた。三田谷治療教育院では、当時関西地方で流行していた、夏期に宿泊を伴う「林間学校」として利用するニーズに応じていたことがわかった。母親の氏名が母の会名簿に記載のあった家族が、19家族あった。『入院児名簿（一）』記載の延べ388名中38名は、その母親が母の会会員として活動実績があった。子どもの同院入院において、母親が母の会会員であることが要件とはされていなかったと考えられた。研究以前は、母の会会員のうち多数が三田谷治療教育院の利用者であるとの仮説を持っていたが、結論は異なるものとなった。三田谷による母の会事業について、三田谷治療教育院の運営とは一線を画して理解していく必要があるとわかった。

Mother's club member's children are admitted to the hospital for 8 months, and the summer vacation period is about 1 month. Mitagaya School of Education was popular in Kansai at that time, and it was popular in summer. It was called "Forest School." The mother's name is recorded in the name book of the mother's family, 19 families. 38 out of 388 registered in the Admission Register (I) are members of the Mother's Association. When the child is admitted to the hospital, the mother is a member of the mother's association.
