本年度も、新型コロナウイルスの蔓延が断続的に再発し続けたため、比較対象となる先行研究と条件・環境が乖離したままの影響を統制しきれず、当初計画していた調査を十全に進めることはできなかった。しかし、一時的な沈静化の合間を縫って、昨年度までに進めてきた先行研究・論点の整理の成果を反映させた新たな予備調査を実施できたことで、成人期との比較や成人期への援用をし易くする糸口を更に見出すことができた。その一つは、社会関係資本の静態的な多寡による教育的効果の差異ばかりではなく、動態的な増減による教育的効果の増減あるいは質的変化にも注意を向ける必要性である。例えば、コロナ禍のように関係の一時的断絶を伴う事態が生じるだけでも、継続的な交流に基づく反復的ないし追加的な教育的効果が初期化もしくは毀損されかねない場合や、社会関係資本の総量は変わらなくても、その中身となる相手・組み合わせが変わることによって、背景にある文化的・経済的資本も質的・量的に変化する場合の影響を低く見積もることはできない場合についての示唆を得ることができた。また成人期は子ども期と違い、新規の教育的効果を増加させることばかりではなく、習得済みの内容を反復することで既存の教育的効果を維持・定着させる面においても、社会関係資本が大きく影響する点も挙げられる。後者は言わば、覚えるためというより忘れないために有効な場合であるが、特に複雑・高度な発展的内容や、興味関心は低くても社交や生活のために必要な内容のほうが、新規の教育的効果以上に既存の教育的効果の維持・定着に対する社会関係資本の影響が大きい可能性を確認できた。
