今年度は、社会的および論理的クリティカルシンキング志向性に関して、非認知的能力がどう関わるのかについて、とくにまだ検討していなかった非認知的能力の影響について検討した。具体的には、前年度までの研究で「やりぬく力」の影響について検討したが、これ以外の「セルフコントロール」や「社会的スキル」の影響について検討していなかった点を、今年度は実証的に検討をおこなった。結果は、クリティカルシンキングを多少苦労してでも実施したいかという「クリティカルシンキング志向性」に関して、「セルフコントロール」と「社会的スキル」が高い者が必ずしも単調に志向性を高めるとは限らないということを見出した。これらの非認知的能力はクリティカルシンキング志向性を高めると期待されたが、逆に低下したり、中程度の者の方が高くなったりと明確な効果は出なかったことがわかった。もちろん、半期の講義の中での効果が見られなかっただけで、継続的なセルフコントロールによって将来的には促進効果をもつ非認知的能力である可能性も残されているが、思っているほど明確な効果が出るものではなかった可能性もある。ただし、講義形式の授業では伸ばせない批判的思考力であるのかもしれないので測定対象の精査が今後の検討課題となるだろう。研究成果は本学の学部紀要に「クリティカルシンキング志向性を高める非認知的能力－セルフコントロールと社会的スキルの検討－」として執筆した。
