项目摘要

本年度は、前年度までに構築した、公共交通利用の活性化を含めた地域コミュニティ等の活動に対する参加意識として、地域が達成すべき高齢者等の生活の質に関する意識を調査分析する方法を活用して、さらなる属性別の分析を進めた。前年度のWebアンケートのデータを用いて、地域公共交通の整備の程度や人口密度等の基本的な都市の状況を示す変数との間の関係を分析した。さらに、先に実施したパイロット調査の対象地と比べて公共交通の利便性が低い地域において自宅を訪問してのアンケート調査を実施してデータを追加することで、公共交通水準との関係を分析した。その結果、交通利便性の低い地域ほど、高齢者等に対して移動よりも家の中での基礎的な生活確保のための支援を重視すべきと考える傾向があることが明らかになり、活動参加に際して、高齢者等の交友関係を広げるという機能への配慮が潜在化する可能性があることが明らかになった。この成果の一部は、土木計画学研究・講演集へ投稿した。さらに、福祉有償運送の運転者として高齢者等の生活全般に対する支援活動に参加している人を対象に、同様の分析を行えるようにアンケート調査を実施した。また比較対象として、一般的なタクシー運転手にも同様の調査を実施した。その結果、福祉有償運送の運転者として参加している人は、一般サンプルやタクシー運転手に比べて、家の中での基礎的な生活要素での自立を重視する傾向が見られた。以上のことから、地域コミュニティによる交通システムへの支援のニーズが特に高いと考えられる交通利便性の低い地域や、生活機能が衰えた高齢者等を対象とする活動の場合には、現状では地域の支援活動は基礎的な生活確保の支援に手を取られ、移動環境の重要性に対する意識は十分ではないことが調査の結果から伺える。高齢者等の交友関係を広げるための実践的な支援活動の担い手となることは必ずしも容易でないことが分かった。
