本研究では口唇口蓋裂の総合的治療のため愛知学院大学歯学部を受診し、22q11.2欠失症候群を認める患者について、名古屋大学大学院医学系研究科精神医学・親と子どもの心療科分野にて中間表現型を含めた長期追跡を行っている。神経発達症や精神疾患につき臨床心理士と精神科医によるスクリーニングおよび経過観察が早期介入と予後改善に寄与することを実証する目的としている。FISH法およびアレイCGH法を用いて22q11.2欠失症候群の確定診断を受け2019年12月までにベースライン評価を行った15例（男児8例、女児7例、平均年齢8.6歳）の結果解析から、心疾患、咽頭・口蓋形成異常、耳鼻科系疾患、泌尿器系疾患などの身体合併症に加えて、知的能力および適応機能は全体の8割で平均水準を下回っていた。養育者からの聞き取りで評価を行う自閉症診断面接評価（ADI-R）による発達歴からはASD診断閾値に達しないが、自閉症診断観察尺度（ADOS-2）による横断像では80％がASD特性を示し、日本版感覚プロファイル（SP）にて感覚特性を高率（93.3％）に示した。そのうち86.7％は感覚処理の「低登録（消極的反応・高閾値）」タイプに該当し、味や痛み、触覚などの五感が鈍く、反応が遅くなる傾向を示すとともに、他の感覚特性との重複も40％でみられた。上記につき2020年と2021年に学会発表を行った。フォローアップ評価を現在遂行中である。2022年度は7月にベースライン新規登録者1名を加え、コホート総数は患者18名となった。これまでの研究業績については2022年の第63回日本児童青年精神医学会総会にて「22q11.2欠失症候群児童の親子関係に関する検討ー母子の情緒的側面を踏まえた親子支援を目指してー」として発表を行った。
