本研究では、自分だけでなく地域の人々が疾病やしょうがいの有無にかかわらず、その人らしく生きていくことができる地域づくりを目指す住民組織活動をとりあげ、超高齢社会において、活動を担う次世代の参画を得ることができ、持続可能な活動を展開していくことができる仕組みと要因を見出し、保健師による住民組織活動支援の指針を開発する。初年度および2年目は、地域づくりを目指す住民組織活動の実践例および支援方法に関する文献を対象に、既知見による①住民組織の支援方法と②活動の持続可能性を左右する要因を抽出した。支援方法として計27項目、活動に影響を与える要因として計43項目を抽出できた。3年目は、本研究の調査対象となり得る実践活動を検討し、現場保健師の投稿や寄稿が多い専門誌の過去10年間の掲載記事から、選定基準にあう住民組織活動を抽出しインタビュー調査を依頼した。しかし、承諾率が低く十分な対象数を得ることができなかった。4年目は、さらに専門誌の掲載記事を精査し、選定基準にあう住民組織活動の抽出とインタビュー調査の依頼を行った。協力の得られた住民組織の代表者・メンバーには、組織活動の概要と運営方法、活動展開上の課題と工夫等について、当該組織にかかわったことがある自治体保健師には、住民組織の発足から現在までの支援、保健師としての住民組織活動の位置づけや、住民組織支援で大切にしていること等について、半構造化インタビューを行った。時代の変化とともに新たな課題に直面しながら活動を継続している現状を把握できた。また、住民組織がその課題に対応しながら活動を継続していけるように支援する保健師の関わりについて把握できた。さらにインタビューデータを追加し結果をまとめていきたい。
