项目摘要

近年ディベートは論理的思考力、語学力など個人のスキル向上に有効な手段とされている。ディベート教育の有用性は広く認識されつつあるが、こういった需要の高まりが皮肉にも、表面的なディベート教育を広めてしまっている。本研究は、日本の学習者の特性により即したアクティブ・ラーニング型ディベート教授法を開発することを目的とし、開始した。2019年度から2020年度にかけて行った研究により、ディベートのルールが細分化していることが初学者への参入障壁となっていること、しかし教授法をマニュアル化すると、本来ディベート教育が目指しているはずの批判的思考や啓蒙思想とは矛盾が生じることが明らかになった。この成果はProceedings of the Tokyo Conference on Argumentation, Volume 6 に収録されている。そこで2021年度には、ディベート活動の中でもとりわけマニュアル化がされていない「発問、質問」について研究を行った。第50回日本コミュニケーション学会年次大会で行った発表では質問と対話の古典的代表例としてソクラテスの弁証法に着目し、ミシェル・フーコーの提唱するパレーシア概念を援用することで、発話には勇気と自己への契約が求められることを提示した。以上の研究を踏まえ、2022年度は発問に必要とされる要件を見出すことに注力した。2019年度に収集した質問に関するデータを「勇気」や「自己への契約」という観点から再整理し、学習者の発問を促す教授法を模索した。パターン化、マニュアル化をできる限り避けることで、学習者の主体的姿勢を促すアクティブ・ラーニングの一例として提示する。こういった2022年度の研究結果は2023年度に学会発表及び論文投稿の形で公にする。
