本研究は、宮島に伝来する文書のうち、『広島県史 古代中世資料編』Ⅱ・Ⅲ（厳島文書編１・２）に収録されていない中世文書を活字化し、「大願寺文書」と「野坂文書」の目録を作成・分析することにより、中近世移行期における厳島神社の継承と変質を明らかにしようとするものである。昨年度にすべての古文書の調査を終え、所蔵者と相談の上で中世文書の目録を作成し、一部を活字化する予定であった。「大願寺文書」については調査を終え、目録を作成することができた。「野坂文書」については、上半期に所蔵者（代理）の立会いのもとで中世文書の撮影をおこなうことができたが、下半期は新型コロナウイルスの影響等を考え、調査を中断することとなった。このため、昨年度の調査で作成した仮目録を手掛かりに、中世文書の選別作業をおこなった。当初の想定以上の量の中世文書が近世文書群に混在していることが判明し、原本を一点ずつ確認する作業が必要であったが、コロナ禍における限られた調査の機会では、全ての文書の確認を終えることができなかった。しかしながら、野坂文書の調査は残り約30点で終了する見込みとなった。このため、残りの文書の撮影と、所在目録の完成は次年度に実施することとなった。なお、限られた調査の機会で効率的に作業を進める必要があったため、本研究でおこなう「中世文書の選別、撮影」と「基盤研究（Ｃ）21Ｋ00854、研究代表者：大知」で行う「当該研究に必要な近世文書の選別、撮影」は同時並行で実施した。

This study includes the compilation and analysis of Miyajima's ancient and medieval documents, the compilation of Hiroshima's ancient and medieval documents, and the compilation and analysis of Oganji's documents and Nozaka's documents. The survey of ancient books in the past year has been completed, and the contents of ancient books have been prepared. "Dawanji Document" is the end of investigation, and the list is created. "Nozaka Document" is the first half of the year, and the first half of the year is the second half of the year. This year's survey was completed by hand, and the selection of documents in the Middle East was completed by hand. The original and above-mentioned amount of medieval documents are mixed in the group of modern documents, and it is now clear that the original work is necessary to confirm it at all times, and the opportunity for investigation is limited due to the disaster. The confirmation of all documents will be completed. The investigation of Nozaka's paper was completed at about 30 o'clock. This is the first time in a long time that I've been working on this project. This study was conducted in parallel with "Selection and analysis of medieval documents" and "Base study (C) 21K00854, study representative: Dazhi" and "Selection and analysis of modern documents when necessary for this study."
